Scots take on the rest of the UK's entrepreneurs in The Pitch 2010
On 8 July The Pitch is coming to Scotland, offering small businesses a chance to meet successful entrepreneurs and potentially win a prize package worth £50,000. The event will also deliver a unique one-day conference aimed at providing top-level advice and valuable insight from high profile business experts.
The Edinburgh heat of this UK-wide competition gives entrepreneurs from around Scotland the chance to compete against each other and demonstrate the depth of Scottish business talent to the rest of the UK, pitching their business ideas to a panel of expert judges.
The Pitch 2010 is a serious business competition for people who are serious about their business. Visiting five UK cities over the summer, regional judging panels will meet hundreds of potential entrants, and hear business pitches from a handful of regional finalists, all hoping to win a place in the grand final in London in November.
Last year’s Scotland heat, held in Glasgow, saw Scottish entrepreneurs pitching to a panel of judges including Jennifer Cheyne, Edinburgh entrepreneur and star of Channel 4's The Secret Millionaire. The event was so successful that the competition organisers
