Bright Purple Retain Investors In People Status
Following their recent audit, Bright Purple has once again retained the accreditation as 'Investors in People' in 2010.
As a company well aware of the value of their people,
Bright Purple are pleased to again receive accreditation as "Investors in People" for 2010.
Jan Mutch, Bright Purple's operations director commented on the recognition, "In the midst of a severe global economic downturn, its satisfying that here at Bright Purple we recognise the importance of our key asset, our own people and we have continued to invest in them and even while we continue to strengthening the team, that investment hasn't stopped."
Mutch is convinced that "Bright Purple has a duty as an employer to help develop it's people and with many of our staff maybe joining us from University or after a short career, it's important that we look at helping them build a career here." She goes on to say that "Our commitment to them has helped build a strong bond of trust between management and employees and we hope to expand our commitment by launching the Bright Purple Academy in 2010."
Bright Purple have already seen skills shortages hit the clients they are servicing in technology and finance, but now it is felt that finding the right type of experienced people to carry the Bright Purple brand forward in the years ahead is also getting tougher. So the development of a school for recruiters within Bright Purple is being considered, as the company is looking at major expansion in the next few years and knows that to do so it will need to develop it's own quality people, who themselves will be the leaders of the future.
The IIP Accreditation threw out some interesting positives about the company, such as: -
• Leadership and management style from the top is Open, Honest & Supportive.
• Team Culture – excellent team spirit with a willingness to share knowledge and skills.
• Good understanding of the objectives and KPI’s.
• Willingness to move people internally to improve the standard of performance.
• Ideas and suggestions of all are listened to.
• Very strong recognition of contribution by all
Mutch suggested, "we are not the largest agency in the market, but maybe that's an advantage, because we really do have strong working relationships between management and our staff."
Mutch closed by saying, "our people always know that if they feel they have something to teach others, we are all interested in learning and so we encourage everyone to throw their ideas in to the pot. It's a great feeling to know that even as a new start your views and opinions are valued"
