The State of Scottish Asset Management Recruitment Opportunities in 2010With many financial services organisations continuing significant re-structuring, process change and product development, Bright Purple were recently asked to comment on the state of Scottish Asset Management Recruitment Opportunities... According to reports, asset managers in Scotland are confident that they will be recruiting again this year, however some analysts suggest that the opportunities available to candidates are largely restricted to middle office and junior positions. Bright Purple were asked to comment on this claim by finance recruitment news provider eFinancial Careers Scotland. Discussing the effects on the finance job market caused by changing processes and development of new products by financial services organisations, Mike Leeman, senior financial services consultant at Bright Purple Resourcing noted "Project managers and change managers are being hired within Scottish asset managers currently," he says. "A lot of this is about improving efficiency, but it's also about positioning for future growth opportunities."
